Then in September my wife and I went back to Eddie's. The service was very slow even though it was not crowded. When we finally received our food we had to send it back as it was ice cold. When we finally finished eating we were charged $1.25 for cocktail sauce for our crab appetizer and $3.50 for a bread basket, even though my wife ordered an Italian dinner and it should have been included in the price of the meal. We then asked the waitress to have the owner come to our table as we had observed her walking through the restaurant numerous times. The waitress came back about 10 minutes later and stated that the owner was having dinner and she was unable speak to us. Well, in conclusion we recommend that you save your money or spend it somewhere else as the service and food quality are not worth your hard earned cash.
We have gone to Eddie's on Lake Norman approximately 15 times in the last six months. When we first started eating there the food was great and the service was great as well. We enjoyed the place so much that my wife made reservations for 14 people for my birthday in July. As the people in our party arrived they were advised by the hostess that the table was in the back of the restaurant. The hostess felt it was appropriate to point to the back of the restaurant instead of escorting our quests to the table. Then the waitress assigned to our table would disappear for long periods of time while guests drinks were empty and empty dirty plates piled up on the table. As our food came out the staff would stand at one end of the table and pass each persons plate from one person to the other until the plate reached the guest. We payed over $700.00 for the dinner party and we pretty much had to serve ourselves.
Save yourself a trip and go elsewhere.
The place was only about 1/2 full but the service was VERY slow. We waited over 45 minutes after placing out order for our food.
Very disappointing place.
I worked a 10 hour day and decided to skip making dinner to dine at my favorite Restaurant. I was greeted by the owner, Anne Margaret, with a slice of freshly baked pizza. The bartender/waitress, Stephanie, brought me my usual Angry Orchard and as always, I was treated like family. The meal was excellent and the service is one of a kind. Courtney is also a very attentive waitress. The entire staff from the cooks to the servers to the manager are one of a kind. They usually have live music and the view of the lake is very relaxing. It's a wonderful escape and the atmosphere has a nice vacation feel.
The steak was over-cooked. Kids hated their hamburgers. The garlic on the garlic bread was burnt. The drinks were empty several times and we had to flag down our waitress for refills. I could understand some of this if it were packed but they weren't busy at all. Most employees were standing around doing nothing most of the time.
Fun staff and good seafood. I also recommend the Chicken Parmesan or the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. They also have a beautiful view of the lake, and a small beach area for docking your boat. You can choose to sit inside or outside and they frequently have live music.
The atmosphere is very nice with a lake view but that's where the compliments end.
We were immediately given a friendly greeting and were seated quickly. We enjoyed the fish and chips and fish tacos. Our waiter did an excellent job. I don't know if they have live music every night, but we were there on Friday evening, and some live music started a little after 7. We had a very nice dinner here.
