West UMC is the first church we have attended that felt relevant and meaningful to our every day life. The topics are in tune with what is going on in the world and they are presented in a non threatening way. The church is open to all people. Everyone is friendly and there are plenty of ways for adults to plug in plus wonderful youth programs for kids of all ages to tap into. West has a strong focus on helping those in the community and beyond.
I absolutely love West UMC. It occurred to me the other day that if we hadn't found West, we likely wouldn't have a "home base" for church. After relocating to Mooresville 10+ years ago, we struggled to find our church home. Grateful for the relaxed environment and relevant messages and missions. A perfectly imperfect tribe.
I love that West UMC is a different kind of church. The focus is always Love ... in the messages and missions outreach!
West United Methodist Church is truly inclusive and believes Christ loves All. You will often hear the pastor of this amazing church say, "All means all" and it is shown everyday through the message, missions, and people. It was so refreshing to find a church that allowed our family to simply be us. There is no need to put on pretenses because West is very non-threatening, non-judgmental but very much about loving thy neighbor and being the hands and feet of Jesus. It's so hard to explain but if you are looking for a Faith Community that will allow you to question and doubt -- or if you are already completely at ease in your faith journey -- you need to check out West UMC! (Oh...and did I mention it's okay to have fun during church?) :-)
