Pro: Bed was clean and no bugs. Price was cheap. AC worked. Room was clean enough. Front desk personnel was OK. Con: Bed had 3 small pillows (like airline pillows). TV had no remote (TV is old 1980`s tube type) . Dresser drawer front fell off. Ironing board with no iron. No phone in room (I had my cell, but first hotel I've been in with no phone). Vending machine empty. Pool under repair. Room smelled like a pet bed. Two stars because of price, AC, and no bugs.
I'm originally from Mooresville and my family and I have a lot of history with this hotel back when it was formerly known as the sleep inn and suites. I had my birthday party here in 5th grade and my family that came to visit always stayed here, so we would always come swimming and hang out at the hotel. Once I moved out of state, this became my go to hotel when I came to visit. It's cheap and in a very convenient location. In the first week of October, My Fiance and i stayed here while we were down for our business. After adjusting my reservation with the front desk, I was accidentally charged an extra nights stay which isn't the problem here as the front desk clerk stated they would have it refunded back to my card. However, the manager would have to process this. I'm beginning to wonder if this establishment even has a "manager" as I have called MULTIPLE times. Literally more than a dozen and I haven't gotten a dime of a refund or even a call back. The two women that helped me the most were Alice and Deidre and these two ladies need a raise. They should also be moved to manager position because not only are they CLEARLY there more than their own manager, but they were very empathetic at the fact I haven't gotten a call back or a single refund and that I have spoken to them numerous times asking where their manager was. They left my number and messages for this "manager" but it's now December and I haven't received a single thing. So, this evening I took my complaint to the corporate office in hopes that this "manager" is motivated to finally issue my refund. I've been in the hospitality business, and my fiancé who was also with me has a degree in hospitality management and this is just straight dissapoointing and a prime example of poor service. I'm gonna have to go stay at the days inn now.
The first room was beautiful but wasn't what we asked for so had to move. As our evening went on we had no phone in our room and the we had hudge got tub we couldn't use because our water wouldn't get last like warn. We stayed 3 nights and complained every night without anything fixed
Moral of the story, check your reservation dates before you test your patience waiting for a refund.
Could be a spot to stop BUT it is in a state of rebuilding and has a lot left to be done. Front desk staff at check in were great check out and breakfast staff 'well enough said'. In a year to two could be good.
Needs to be renovated... Looks 80ish wallpaper... The vacuum cleaner they use to clean the rooms is VERY loud so never stay there if you have to sleep during the day...
