I highly recommend this store if you're looking for make-up to make that special occasion even more special!!!
I love Ulta and the salon here is great too. I started going here for blow outs but now I have Megan doing my color and cut too. I've had many good experiences. I also like the coupons and convenience of this shop over going to Sephora in the mall and always paying full price.
Some of the reviews on here are about the salon. I can't really speak to that as neither I nor my fiancée used the salon.
The prices around the store showed good variety, everything from a few dollars to much more, but you get what you pay for. And we were floored by the assortment of colors, styles and brands.
My haircut is absolutely not what we talked about. It is so short! She didn't listen to me, just started cutting. I bought a hat and biotin immediately after and I'll never go back!
What I can say is we went in their looking for professional-quality make-up. She speaks English as a second language, and I don't know much about make-up. It was setting up to be awkward, but looks and behold one of the staff members was bilingual! Both of them were very sweet, and Kaley (Kayleigh? Keili? Kaylie? There are so many ways to spell that name, I'm not sure, I'm sorry) could not have been more helpful. She REALLY knew the products. How can you keep straight what lasts 15 hours vs. 18 vs. 10 vs. 12? And which things you can cry with? As a guy who could write on my hand everything I know about cosmetics, I was very impressed.
Revised review : Another awful Ulta location! Staff is very unprofessional towards each other. Rude to customers, behind their backs which I've observed many times being in this location. Staff follows you around like you're going to steal something. What they don't realize by doing this you make the shopping experience miserable and then you will have little sales. I've left locations many times with friends for this exact reason. Better off shopping online in the comfort of your own home, you won't be bothered there. Well today sent my review over the top. I Made an appointment to get my eye brows done today 10/18 as I always do with the same person I always do. Well I get there she doesn't even notice I'm standing there. Then the other girl acknowledges I'm standing there. I let her know I'm there for the other girl. So she goes to get her. Her response is she's not here for me. Doesn't come to speak to me to let me know there may have been a mix up. The other girl comes back and says next time make sure you request the person you want. Which is what I've always done. I've been a customer of hers for almost two years, I guess that doesn't matter. So I walked out, will take my business elsewhere. Plenty of other places to get your eye brows done at.
The Mooresville, NC location is an ABSOLUTE embarrassment to Ulta as a corporation. I have moved to many areas and have been one of Ulta's biggest supporters for years! But there is not one employee in that building, that is the least bit helpful. I spend too much money within this company, to be frustrated and mad when I leave because of the disrespect and attitude from ALL employees. If there was a Sephora near by, I would put all my money there, just so I didn't have to deal with this store in general. Absolutely AWFUL!
